What you'll accomplish
Setting up a practice session for staff or trainees takes time you rarely have. Upload a small invented case file to ChatGPT, ask it to play the interviewer, and it asks one question at a time using only the facts in the file. Afterward, it lists the questions it asked and the places where the file had gaps. Those gaps become part of your own preparation list. The session does not predict what an officer or a judge will ask.
What you'll need
Data caution. Never upload a real client's account or file for this exercise. Client names, A-numbers, receipt numbers, passport numbers, dates of birth, addresses, immigration and criminal history, family details and the client's own account stay in your firm's approved systems. Asylum, trafficking, abuse and criminal history details never go into a consumer AI tool, even in a practice file. This guide uses an invented file for "Client A", matter "IM-26-031". Check OpenAI's data controls for whether chats and uploads are used for training and how long they are kept. If your firm wants to use a tool like this with anything real, it decides that under your confidentiality duties and your state bar's rules on AI use, which you check yourself.
